NotD: Moyra 'Shocking Pink' Vivid Sand

Here is today's Nail of the Day!

You may have read my earlier post about Moyra, a nail polish brand that is already established in other parts of the world but is new to the UK.

The first polish I wanted to try out from the selection I bought was 'Shocking Pink' from the Vivid Sand collection.

Shocking Pink is a bright neon pink which has a slight coral hue to it. It contains tiny silver glitter particles.

I photographed this the best I could but neons are sooo hard to capture accurately on camera! 

Base coat: Orly Bonder (one coat)

Polish: Moyra Vivid Sand 'Shocking Pink' (two coats)

Top coat: none

With flash

Without flash, in daylight. Slightly less orange in real life. 

The great formula and brush made this polish so easy to apply. No clean up was used on the manicure because none was needed! It applied so neatly, even on my right hand.

This shade looks fabulous on my skin tone, most pinks wash it out but this one adds warmth and really stands out. 

This polish will be added to my list of all time favourites and at £3 it was an absolute bargain. Details on other Moyra polishes and how to buy are on my previous post :)

My new Moyra polishes :)

Moyra is a high-quality European nail care brand. They are well known and loved amongst nail professionals.

After seeing a buzz about their products on social media I just had to have a look at their collections, and they look fabulous!

Here are just a few from their range of nail polishes:

I decided to buy six polishes; four from the Sand Effect range, one from the Vivid Sand range and a polish from their Classic range. It was hard to pick but I'm so happy with my choices! Here are my purchases:

L-R: Onyx, Anubis, Isis, Jasmine's Wish, No. 43, Shocking Pink

Onyx - A very dark brown/black sand effect with a bit of sparkle

Anubis - dark grey sand effect with a silver and gold sparkle

Isis - Royal blue sand effect with a blue and silver sparkle

Jasmine's Wish: Teal sand effect with a gold sparkle. This one is magical!

No. 43: a creamy pink with a slight hint of purple. Has a scattered holo effect

Shocking Pink: Neon pink sand effect with a hint of silver glitter. This couldn't be any more Barbie! My favourite :)

I own a couple of sand/textured effect polishes from other brands but none are as beautiful as these! Look out for my swatches and reviews of each polish in the next few days. My next post today will be a NotD using Shocking Pink (which I'm wearing right now!).

The polishes cost £3.50 for a 12ml bottle, which is an absolute bargain. The gel effect polishes are £4 each.

NotD: Layla Hologram Polish 'Ocean Rush'

Here is my nail of the day for today. I only just got this polish in the post today (separate nail mail post coming up!) and it is already my favourite polish EVER!
